Reflection is your medicine for consistent growth

I’m sure at one point or another, you’ve heard a quote that sounds something like….

“Everyone has the same amount of time in the day, it all depends on how you use it.”

I used to hear this type of quote and get really frustrated, mostly because I did a terrible job of managing my days.

Perhaps you’ve had moments where you’ve felt like you didn’t have enough time in your day to get things done?

OR….perhaps you feel like this ALL THE TIME?!

Over the years, as I’ve dedicated more energy towards improving in this area of my life, I’ve become a big fan of the “slow down to speed up” approach.

Taking time to slow down AND breathe can yield huge benefits.

The reason slowing down and breathing works is because it provides you with an opportunity for reflection.

Reflection is what allows you to gain insight.

Insight is what teaches you about yourself.

Learning about yourself is what motivates you to take action.

In this week’s video, I talk about the importance of slowing down, how it impacts your outcomes and influences your relationships.

Thanks for watching the video.

For this upcoming week, I encourage you to keep track of how often you take time to stop and reflect on your week, day, life, etc. Think about how many moments you consciously slow down throughout your days. Is there an opportunity for you to do more of this?

Please share different ways that you take time to slow down. How does this impact your life? I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time, have a great week.
Cheers,
ap
