Are you choosing empowerment?

If you had a choice, would you rather feel empowered or like a victim?

While most people would immediately choose empowered, the truth is that a majority tend to reside in their victimhood.

And by victimhood, I mean blaming other people, places and things for the “stuff” that goes “wrong” in their lives.

Sometimes it’s really easy to spot a victim, while other times victimhood can be subtle and difficult to identify, especially when being asked to identify it within yourself.

For example, if you’re going through a difficult week and things aren’t falling into place, you may find yourself getting frustrated and thinking, “why can’t I just catch a break?!

This is mindset of the victim; it’s the “look what the world is doing to me” mindset.

Have you ever felt this way? I sure have.

Usually the victim mindset appears when things aren’t going the way you want them too; perhaps you start feeling disrespected or mistreated as a result.

The good news is that the sooner you recognize this mindset, the better!

Because in that moment, you’re able to immediately activate the “look how I’m choosing to create my world” mindset, which is the mindset of the empowered one.

In today’s video, I talk about two mindsets and how taking ownership of your emotions is what allows you to fully step into your empowered self:

Are you choosing to be empowered by taking responsibility for your emotional response, or pointing your finger at the people around you and blaming them for your upset?

Remember…..the more aware you are of your response patterns, the more effective you become at creating the results you desire.

I’d love to hear from you! Please let me know different ways that you’ve learned to nurture your own sense of personal empowerment.
